Tyrrell Hatton among eight DP World Tour members allowed to play in conflicting LIV Golf tournaments - but not Jon Rahm

Tyrrell Hatton is among eight DP World Tour members to have been granted permission to play in conflicting tournaments on the LIV Golf circuit in 2026 - but not Jon Rahm.

Laurie Canter, Thomas Detry, Tom McKibbin, Adrian Meronk, Victor Perez, David Puig and Elvis Smylie are the other players to have been given this dispensation.

The eight golfers will retain their membership status and face no disciplinary action provided they meet a series of conditions, all of which the players have accepted.

These include paying outstanding fines in full for breaching the DP World Tour's regulations, as well as withdrawing all pending appeals.

The group must also participate in additional stipulated DP World Tour tournaments and media activity.

Rahm is not on the list having previously said that he has "no intention" of paying the fines for breaching membership guidelines by featuring in LIV events without permission.

The two-time major champion's fines are estimated to be in the region of £2.5million.

That could potentially put the Spaniard's participation in next year's Ryder Cup in Ireland in doubt, although Hatton's eligibility now seems certain after this latest development.

The DP World Tour has insisted that the releases only apply for 2026 and are not "precedent setting", with requests for further releases to be considered on an individual basis.

Disciplinary action will continue be taken against members who play in conflicting LIV events without a release.
